About Me

My name is Andrea Barajas, commonly referred to as Andie, and I am a Graphic Communications major at Tarrant County College. I attended Hollenstein Career and Technology Center during high school where I studied their Graphic Design program. While attending, I participated in a multitude of branding and design competitions where I advanced into the state division two years in a row. Afterwards, I designed T-Shirts working alongside University of Texas in Arlington’s Bassoon Club for their yearly Double Reed Day event three years in a row and advanced through Google’s UI/UX certification program. I have learned my strengths are widely versed in Adobe Creative Suite, but my personal favorite is Illustrator.

I am most known for my optimistic attitude—earning the nickname Sunshine—and innovativeness. Because of these traits, my favorite part of the design process is the brainstorming part. I love being able to rack up a bunch of unique ideas to solve client needs. My greatest strength is also my greatest weakness. I’m a people pleaser. This ensures that I account for everyone whether it be in my team, for my client, or for users. However, this can also make me a bit of an overthinker, perfectionist, and overwork myself. Rest assured, I am always guaranteed to put my best foot forward.
